On Saturday, February 20 ^th , 2021, Abdel Gutierrez, devoted husband, stepfather to five children, and loving grandfather was called home to be with the Lord to live in eternal peace at the age of 84. Abdel was born on September 11 ^th , 1936 in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico to Diego Viscaino-Gutierrez and Eva Viscaino-Gutierrez. On February 14 ^th , 1992, he married Katherine Gutierrez after falling in love at first sight. He devoted his life to spreading kindness in the world and creating special memories with his family.

Abdel took on the role of stepfather for four daughters, Sandra, Carmen, Barbara, Irene, and one son, Moses III. He enjoyed cooking, family traditions, and celebrating the holidays. He loved to dance and celebrate life. Many beautiful memories will be cherished eternally by his family.

Abdel will join his parents, Diego and Eva, in heaven. He will also be reunited with his brother Diego Gutierrez Jr. He is survived by his wife Katherine Gutierrez, his sisters Elda Arredondo and Angelica Ramos, Hugo and Sandra Arteaga, Carmen Garcia, Tommy and Barbara Thompson, Moses and Betty Garcia, Steve and Irene Wargo; grandchildren Eric Taylor, Brian Taylor, Kevin Jackson, Harold Jackson, Sarah Jackson, Khalen Garcia, and Maxwell Wargo as well as great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
