Abel T. Martinez came into this world on August 30, 1958 and departed from us on May 2, 2026, to enter the gates of Heaven.
Abel is preceded in death by his parents; Sabas C. Martinez and Alicia T. Gonzales, sisters; Herminia M. Carvajal and Alicia T. Martinez, nephew; Andrés T. Martínez Jr., sister-in-law; Lucy Martinez, and brother-in-law Luis Carvajal.
Abel Is survived by his daughter; Ashley Ann Dimitri Oliverio, siblings; Eugenio T. Martínez, Andrés T. (Julie) Martinez, Julian (Irma) Tello, and Marcos Antonio Villagran, nephews; Jason (Lydia) Martínez, Julian (Kristy) Martinez, James, Julian Tello, Juan Tello, Martín (Ruby) Ramos, Abel (Neomi) Ramos, Joey Villagrán, And Joshua Villagrán, nieces; Lorraine Carvajal, Elizabeth Carvajal, Evelyn Martínez, Felicia (Jesse) Castro, and Abigail Ramos, grandsons; Marcelino Oliverio (Princess Zoe) and Micah Oliverio, great granddaughter; Selah Luz Deleite Oliverio, grandnephews; Andrés J. Martínez, Eli J. Martinez, Jesse Castro III, Jason Andrew Martínez, and Alessandro Ramos, great grandson; Jesse Noel Oliverio, grand nieces; Ariana Sophia Martínez, Isabella Castro, Evelyn Castro, and Kya Martinez.
Abel was a student at Edgewood High School and went on to study at St. Phillips College. Later on, Abel proudly retired and served in the United States Navy from June 1, 1978-May 31, 1998 as an honorably discharged member with five good conduct metals, other armed service medals, letters of recommendation, Navy and Marine Corps achievement, awards, and letters of appreciation. Additionally, he was employed as a medical lab technician at Santa Rosa Hospital, University Hospital, and Christus Santa Rosa Hospital.
Abel created art for personal enjoyment and relaxation. He collected paintings to decorate the house. He was fond of dogs and especially cats. He liked to go to the movies and restaurants with family and friends. He loved exploring different restaurants and trying new foods in diverse cuisines and flavors.
