Abigail Solis Contreras Obituary

Abigail Solis Contreras was born on November 18, 1946, in Charlotte, Texas to Herculano and Magdalena Solis. Her moral values were following God, caring for her children, honesty, and hard work. She instilled her values in her children which she did with dignity and grace. Resilience and perseverance in the face of hardship were consistent themes in her life. Her strong will to live and her unwavering faith in God made her courageous to withstand the many hardships she faced. Everyone who knew Abigail felt her big heart and giving nature.

Abigail is survived by her children: Ruth Contreras Medina, Lupe Contreras III, Sarah Contreras Orozco, Luvinia Cerda Hernandez, and Jose Rafael Solis Padilla Jr.; her sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings Genaro Enrique Solis, Domingo C. Solis, Elias F. Solis, Ana S. Campa, Blanca A. Flores, Elizabeth Solis Segura, Dailia E. Casarez, Romelio Ray Solis, and Tomasita Segura

Abigail is predeceased by her parents, Herculano and Magdalena, her husband's Lupe Contreras Jr. and Jose Rafael Padilla Sr., her sister Gracie Solis, her daughter Veronica Rymers, and her grandchild Angelina Michelle Contreras.

She is very loved and will be missed extremely. She will always be in our hearts forever.

A visitation for Abigail will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Castillo Funeral Home.
