Our beloved mother, Adela B. Vasquez, went home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2022 at the age of 90. She was born on August 13, 1931 to Isabel and Lucia Biera in Miles, Texas. She was raised in San Angelo, TX where she met and married her husband, Pablo, on December 2, 1956. In 1968, they decided to plant their roots in San Antonio, TX where she would raise her children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pablo S. Vasquez; her parents; brothers Manuel Biera (Katie), Rodolfo Biera (Maria), and Raul Biera (Carolina). She is loved and missed by her five children, Mario (Silvia), Raul (Maria), Melissa (Terry), Andy (Karen) and Adela (Eddie); eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.

The family would like to thank the Dr.'s and nurses at Methodist Hospital (Medicine III and LR ICU) and VITAS Hospice for their excellent care, support and compassion of our mother and our family.

Visitation will take place at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart at 9:15am from Castillo Funeral Home on Friday, June 24, 2022 for a 10:00am Mass at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
