Adelia Solano Prieto, 94, died peacefully in her sleep on October 17, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on September 8, 1929 in Lockhart, Texas; the second of ten children born to Samuel and Rufina Solano. She married Zaragoza Prieto in 1944 and had six children: Benjamin (Linda), Ignacio (Carmen), Ernesto, Gustavo (Beckye) Lydia (John Michael) and Ophelia. She was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored her.

She was preceded in death by her husband and sons, Ernesto and Ignacio. Adelia was a long time employee at Joske's and East Central ISD but most of her time was spent with her grandchildren. There was hardly a weekend that she didn't have at least one grandchild over because it was always fun at grandma's house.

Her family was her life but her world centered around God. She was a faithful founding member of Iglesia de Dios Central for over 60 years. Because of this, her family has a strong relationship with Christ and that is certainly her greatest legacy.
