April 10, 1939 – December 29, 2021
On Wednesday, December 29, 2021, Adolfo Coronado was greeted into heaven surround by his loved ones. He was born on April 10, 1939 in San Antonio, TX. He lived 82 blessed years as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Adolfo had a long career in construction and eventually opened up his own cement finishing company, A.C. Cement Finishers. He contributed to many prominent buildings and landmarks in and around San Antonio, such as the Tower of the Americas, Sea World, hospitals, and educational institutions. His favorite building was his home, which he was constantly expanded and renovated.
Adolfo was also a devout Catholic. He donated his time and talents to help the church and community of the west side of San Antonio. Adolfo was married for 51 golden years to his beautiful late wife, Irene. He is survived by his 5 children, Rosemarie Velasquez, Louise Coronado, Diana Gonzalez, Alfred Adolph Coronado, and Peter Coronado, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2021 at 6 p.m, at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 12, 2021 at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery.
