Adolfo R.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Adolfo R. Lopez 'Rudy', 85. He transitioned on May 6, 2024, at 6:10 PM peacefully surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. Rudy was born on December 10, 1938, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Pedro and Benita Lopez.
He is now reunited with his parents, (sister) Gloria Lopez, (brother) Enrique (Henry) Lopez, (brother) Jose Luis 'Louie' Lopez, (brother) Pedro Lopez Jr. and (brother) Jose Lopez.
He is survived by his loving, caring wife of 47 years Janie Estella Lopez. Survived by his children, Rebecca Hernandez, Albert Lopez, Adolph 'Soy' Lopez Jr., Bertha Vidales, Maricela Trujillo Perez, Sandra Gonzales, Ruby Ann Herrera 'Princess', and Nickolas Lopez. 21 Grandchildren 32 Great Grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Survived by his (sister) Yolanda Ramos, (sister) Amelia Lopez, and (brother) Robert 'Bobby' Lopez.
Rudy retired after 20 years as a State Inspector with the Texas Department of Transportation. Dedicating his life to his wife, children, grandchildren and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed a good cold Busch Light beer and watching the Cowboys play, even though they didn't make it to the Superbowl last year or the year before that... and... the year before that; he always loved his Cowboys. He was also a professional at pulling slot machines. If he wasn't drinking an ice-cold beer watching the Cowboys, you'd catch him at the casino pulling slot machines. Rudy will be dearly missed by so many.
