Obituary

Richard Adrian Gonzales, of San Antonio, Texas born December 17, 1960, entered into eternal rest May 10, 2026, at the age of 65.

He was preceded in death by the family’s Monarch his grandmother, Beatrice Arredondo, who lovingly raised him as her son. Adrian will be remembered for his kind soul, loving spirit, and dedication to those he cared for. He had a special way of making everyone feel valued and loved. Young at heart, his warmth left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He treasured spending time with family and friends, creating memories that will forever be cherished.

Adrian spent decades on The Strip along Main Street, proudly recognized as our City’s Pride Cultural Heritage District. He began his journey at the Silver Dollar in the early 1990s and concluded it at Knockouts. Adrian deeply cherished the community he helped build and often said, “I get to work and spend with my best friends.”

An avid picture and video taker, Adrian loved capturing life’s special moments and bringing laughter to those around him. He greeted everyone with the biggest smiles, the warmest hugs, and always had an encouraging word or compliment to share.

In addition, Adrian enjoyed cooking, thrifting, bingo, superheroes, and watching The Golden Girls. His joyful personality and caring heart touched countless lives. Though he is no longer with us, Adrian’s love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on.

He is lovingly survived by the people who loved him most, forever and always. Adrian was more than family — he was a loving brother, a proud uncle, and a cherished grandson whose kindness and love touched everyone who knew him. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Psalm 34:18

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
