Albert Mata Alvarado III passed away on July 16, 2024. He was 54 years old. He was born in Los Angeles, California on January 22, 1970. He was raised in Houston and spent the summers in San Antonio with his loving grandparents.

Albert loved both cities, Houston and San Antonio. Although he lived most of his life in San Antonio, he loved Houston dearly and always shared his fond memories. He made many friends along the way and would strike up a conversation with anyone. He treasured the beautiful memories he created with his wife of 28 years. The best being every moment with his son, Albert. He worked at USAA for over 30 years, received many accolades and earned the respect of many. But to him, the friendships he made along the way was what he valued the most. His hobbies included collecting Hot Wheels, comic books, sports cards of every kind, rare coins and $2 bills. He was a true Texans and Astros fan at heart.

Albert is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert H. Alvarado I and Lucia Alvarado, uncle, Salamon Alvarado, stepmother, Sylvia Alvarado, and mother, Delores Esperanza Ortiz.

Albert is loved and will be missed by his wife, Herlinda Alvarado, his son, Albert C. Alvarado IV, his father, Albert H. Alvarado II (Adela), his brother, Jacob H. Alvarado (Sonia), his aunt, Sylvia Alvarado, brother-in-law, Marco Carreon (Julie), brother-in-law, Uriel Carreon (Andrea), brother-in-law, Cesar Carreon (Marcy), sister-in-law, Lydia Carreon, 16 nephews and nieces, many cousins and extended family and friends.
