Alejandro (Pollo) Rendon passed away peacefully on September 28, 2022, surrounded by loving hospice and nursing staff at Pecan Valley Rehab and Nursing Care. He was 83 years old, the last surviving sibling of 14 children. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 28, 1939.

Pollo began his lifetime career at the produce terminal market, after being removed from school at a very young age to help support his family. He
continued in that career up to his early 70's. In 2011 he was diagnosed with non-hodgkin's lymphoma, and shortly after was placed in Pecan Valley Rehab He was taken care of by nursing staff, who showered him with love. There were three particular nurses, Tatiania, would always brighten his day, just mentioning her name would bring a huge smile to his face. And Marta who would spoil him with tacos and sweet bread. Sierra, who is an awesome nurse, providing him with great care and keeping the family informed of his status. The PT staff who would give him much encouragement, to remain mobile.

THANK YOU for being a blessing in his life Pollo developed a special friendship with three sisters, whose mother was also a resident at the same nursing home, Becky Teresa and Barbara. He loved to visit with them, enjoying long conversations. He had a memory of an elephant always remembering their family members and the occurrences in their lives. Let us not forget how much he appreciated their kindness when they would bring him food, often asking him what he preferred We thank you for your kindness and warmth of your hearts Pollo enjoyed watching sports, football and basketball being his favorites. But due to failing eyesight, he would mostly listen to the games. He had a very keen sense of hearing.
Pollo will be greatly missed by all his nieces, nephews and friends
