Alex M Cruz was born December 1,1962 and raised in San Antonio Tx. He is survived by his wife Belinda Cruz, four children Alex Cruz Jr.(Tina Cruz), Jessica Cruz Villarreal (Johnny Villarreal), Alyssa Cruz Loredo (Rene Loredo) & Jenevieve Cruz.

He married his high school sweetheart in 1984 and together they created a beautiful family. He cared deeply for his four children and nine grandchildren. Being a wonderful and engaged father and husband was a duty he did not take lightly and fulfilled with great care.

Alex was a man of many hats; he worked various laborious jobs however if someone was in need he was always willing to help. Often putting the needs of others before himself. He was a proud man, always wanting to figure things out on his own because he believed in the value of completing the task himself. He instilled the value of a strong work ethic in each of his children. Along with the values of integrity, compassion and respect. His love of family ran deep; as he made certain to be as present as possible for all family events and functions; he was often the life of the party.

Alex was truly a big kid at heart, at many family gatherings you could find him playing a game of kickball or basketball with his kids and nephews. He taught them about the simple joys of life, with his annual Thanksgiving and Easter walks which often turn into fun little adventures. He enjoyed attending his children's sporting events and school functions.

His legacy will live on in his children and grandchildren. Every lesson he's taught has helped shape his children and will continue to be passed down to his grandchildren and so on. His loud and large personality and love of life resides in each of his children and grandchildren.
