Alex Garza to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the age of 43.

Born on January 5, 1979, in San Antonio Texas, the only son of Leonor G. Torres. He enjoyed life and all it had to offer taking advantage of opportunities and leaving a lasting impression on those he met.

Alex accomplished much during his lifetime and will be remembered forever. He was a father to son Alex Anthony Garza and daughter Alyssa Jo Garza. Alex enjoyed playing games of basketball with friends or watching football. He liked to travel as much as he could always enjoying some time driving or riding down the open roads.

Ultimately, he was happiest with the simple pleasures of life; great conversation, making someone smile, feeling hopeful for his family's future and those he knew. His greatest joy was to be surrounded by family and friends; always ready to make them laugh. Those times where he celebrated so many special occasions and accomplishments of those around him are times that exists now in our memories will be cherished forever.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Serafin L. Garza and uncle, Armando Garza.

He is survived by his mother, Leonor G. Torres; children, Alex Anthony Garza and Alyssa Jo Garza; two grandchildren; wife, Emily Y. Garza; grandmother, Herminia D. Garza; grandchildren's mother, Jessica Mendolia; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, at St. Clare Catholic Church at 10:00 am with interment to follow at First Memorial Park.
