Alexander Cruz
Rodriguez
June 3, 1981 – December 17, 2022
Alexander C. Rodriguez passed away on December 17, 2022, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was 41 years old, born in Saginaw, Michigan, on June 3, 1981. Alex was an avid gamer, poker player, and golfer, but the most important job in life to him was being a father. In the summer of 2001, he met the love of his life, the mother of his two beautiful children, Priscilla K. Rodriguez. He was a diehard Lions fan till the very end, hoping one day they would make it to the Superbowl. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened YET, but
Priscilla will continue to watch the games for them both. In his younger days, Al aka Cha-Chi, would run around on Owen street with his mullet hairdo in his underwear and cowboy boots, ready to duke it out in some boxing gloves with Pook and Bubba, or blast anyone with his water gun if they stepped foot on the porch, even if he didn't know them! Al was fearless from the time he was in pampers until the day he went up with the
Lord. He never turned down a dare and was always up for a challenge. Al was very competitive to say the least and hated to lose, more than he liked to win. Alex could brighten up anyone's day with his big smile, his dimples that his sister was so jealous of, and his goofy impersonations that he always did when he would quote the movies he would watch. Alex is loved and will be missed by his daughter Aliyah G. Rodriguez and son Alexander C. Rodriguez Jr. (Dada); lifelong partner Priscilla, Mother Aida, Mother Jeanne, Dad Cruz, Stepdad Frank, Sister April (Pooky), Brother's Arturo (Bubba), Ray (Bebes), Refugio (Beaver), Vincent (Papa), Manuel, Ralph, his Aunt Delfina (Thop), multiple nieces and nephews, and his lifelong friends who he considered his brothers. Alex is also preceded in death by his brother's Meek and Vinny, multiple grandparents, aunts and uncles.
At the end of the day, Alex was a fighter with a big heart and an even bigger personality! He was truly one of a kind and will be missed by everyone that knew him.
