Alfred "Fred" Galan, age 66, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on July 29, 2025.

Fred was a true free spirit who lived life on his own terms. Whether he was rolling dice, playing cards with friends, or simply doing what made him happy, he embraced each moment without apology. He deeply loved his mother, Frances Reyna, and shared a special bond with her throughout his life.

He is survived by his only daughter, Frances Galan.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Castillo Funeral Home, located at 520 N General McMullen Dr, San Antonio, TX 78228. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m.

Fred will be remembered for his independence, his humor, and life he carved out for himself.
