Alfredo Santos Garay passed away on October 17, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by the love and comfort of his devoted wife, Carmen Santos. He was 59 years old. Alfredo was born on September 14, 1967, in California.
Alfredo spent much of his childhood in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Mexico, where he was surrounded by family and friends and attended school through high school. At the age of 16, he moved to San Antonio with his father and began working as a welder. He later followed in his father's footsteps and became a skilled diesel technician. Alfredo was a hardworking man who took great pride in his work and in providing for his family.
Above all, Alfredo cherished time spent with his loved ones. He enjoyed being with family, caring for his beloved dog, Blackie, and cheering on the Mexican National Soccer Team, of which he was a lifelong fan.
Alfredo was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo A. Santos and Rosa Elva Garay.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories and will be deeply missed by his wife, Carmen Santos; his daughters, Erika (Zane) Santos-Lawhon, and Elizabeth Santos; his two beloved grandsons, Miguel and Xavier; his sister, Nydia Tijerina (David); his nieces and nephews, David, Alex, Victoria, and Eden; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
