Alfredo M. Rodriguez Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and pillar of his community, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 77. Born on July 26, 1947, in Cementville, Texas, Alfredo lived a life full of love, laughter, and selfless devotion to others.
A kind and generous gentleman, Alfredo was known for always putting others before himself. Whether lending a helping hand without being asked or going above and beyond for family and friends, he embodied true compassion and humility. He was a devoted family man who took immense pride in caring for his loved ones, and his impact will be felt for generations.
Alfredo had a legendary sense of humor that could brighten any room. A natural jokester, he brought joy and laughter to everyone around him with his quick wit and warm heart. His playful spirit and uplifting presence left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He had a deep passion for baseball and softball, dedicating time not only to the game but also to mentoring and inspiring others through it. His influence extended well beyond the field, touching the lives of many in his community.
Alfredo's legacy of laughter, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished.
Alfredo is preceded in death by his son, Alfredo Rodriguez Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Rebecca Perez, former wife Ubelia Naranjo and his children: Deborah Mora (Ben), Gina Gutierrez (Val), Lee Michael Perez, and Joe Anthony Perez (Sophia).
He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren:
MaryAnn Martinez, Johnathan Rodriguez, Freddy Rodriguez, Justin Mykal Mora, Ashley Nicole Mora (Aaron), Michelle Renay Mora, Dorian Gutierrez, Desiree Gutierrez, Ilyse Clark, Skyler Gutierrez (Ty), Alana Carreon, Jase Gutierrez, Cruz Perez, and Elias Perez.
Great-grandchildren include:
Vincent Martinez (Jissela), Alyssa Sanchez, Gabriel Martinez, Isaiah Martinez, Xander Gutierrez, AloraLee Gutierrez, Jayden Gutierrez, Jaxon Gutierrez, Avery Gutierrez, Anaya Gutierrez, Nova Jade Merritt, and Baby Ivy Merritt and Baby Aaliyah Martinez, both on the way.
