Alice was predeceased by her loving and patient husband, Joe, both her parents Daniel and Francisca, and her three siblings, Maria Luisa, Gabina and Carlos. Her in-laws Enrique and Manuela, and sister-in law Keta.

Alice was born and raised in the westside of San Antonio, alongside her three siblings, cousins, and neighborhood friends. She attended Fox Tech High School, where she developed lifelong friendships, an appreciation for learning, and met her eventual husband Joe.

Joe and Alice stayed close to the heart of San Antonio, establishing a humble home in the westside with the birth of their first two children, Joe Henry and Michael Anthony in 1961. Eventually, the young couple moved to Southern California, where they welcomed their third and final child, Ann Francis in 1967. Some of Alice's greatest joy came in the form of her three children. They created many memories while enjoying trips as a family, volunteering for numerous of her children's athletic and Girl Scout events, and attending many of their childhood activities.

If Alice's children brought her joy, her grandchildren gave her life purpose. Alice took an active role in the lives of all her grandchildren. She worked precariously on specific outfits for every grandchild, whether it be a Halloween costume or a Valentine's Day dress. If any of her grandchildren asked for an ice cream cone, Alice made sure to give them one and extra goodies without a second glance. Trips back and forth between Texas and California were precious moments of connection for Malorie and Joseff. Michelle, Michael, and Henry reveled in their time as the first three grandchildren, eating cotton candy and going to amusement parks. Victoria and Stephanie were looked after carefully and were given many pieces of life advice, looked after these two as if they were Alice's own children.

Aside from being a wife, mother and grandmother, Alice's profession by trade with a teacher. She had an unquenchable thirst for learning, which translated to sharing that knowledge with all types of people - from the tinniest of children to the minds of adults. Alice leaves behinds thousands of students that she taught at Fremont Elementary, Alhambra High, and various other adult education programs before her retirement after thirty years of teaching.

Alice lived her life with a sense of passion and joy, which carried through her life until her last breath. Her legacy will carry on forever in the lives of every person she touched.
