Alicia Pena Gomez, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was born in Cementville, Texas, on August 29, 1941, and went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 28, 2025. Alicia was a life-long member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Guadalupana's. Alicia is preceded in death by husband Audon Gomez, daughter Maria Estella Duque, son Mark Anthony Gomez, parents Juan F. and Carlota Pena, siblings, Juan, Arturo, Abelardo, Jose Hector, Salvador, Brigit, Carolina and Graciela. Alicia is survived by her children Sylvia Gomez Simmons, David Gomez, Alice Barrera (Abel), Cynthia Mendoza (Adam), twenty grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Alicia most enjoyed cooking for her family, backyard BBQ's, playing loteria, cards and spending all her time with family. The family will receive friends at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 102 Lorenz, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 11:00 a.m. and a mass to be held at 11:30 a.m. A procession will then follow to Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, for the interment.
