Amalia “Molly” Garcia born in Cuero, TX on October 3, 1934, was called home by our Lord and Savior on September 20, 2026. At 91 years old, Amalia lived a long life. She was a strong, feisty tell it like it is woman. When she spoke, everyone listened. She guided and protected her loved ones like a Sheppard. While she cared deeply for her friends and family, she was also stern with her love. She loved God and enjoyed attending Primera Iglesia Bautista Fundamental Mexicana Church. She loved hats and jewelry. When she got the chance to go out and about, you could find her in a fancy hat, a fancy necklace, broach, or bracelet. If you had a compliment on any, it would bring a smile to her face and then she would offer what she had to you. She had the spirit of giving and it didn’t matter how much she had, if you needed something, she would offer what she could to you. She loved music and would sing along with the songs she knew and hum along if she didn’t know the words. She was one of a kind, and you couldn’t help but love all aspects of her. Amalia is preceded in death by her parents, Sabina Garcia and Catarino Uvalle, her sons Evaristo G Rios Jr and Pedro E Rios, sister Ruth Lopez and brothers Martin Perez, Jr. Faustino Perez, Savino Casarez, Daniel Casarez, Pedro Perez and Antonio Perez Sr.
She will be dearly missed by her son Carlos Rios Sr (Tracy) Jose Trevino (honorary son) brothers, Igancio Nash (Mary Lou) Reuben Casarez (Martha), sister Susie Merla and grandchildren Liane (Rene), Erica, Sonya (Carlos), Lorraine (Pablo), Frank (Lorraine), Ryan, Pamela (Alex), Carlos Jr, Elizabeth, and Jacqueline as well as numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and all extended family and friends.
