Amalia Duarte Soto, 89 was welcomed by the heavens peacefully on April 5th, 2026.  Amalia was born on January 19, 1937 and raised in San Antonio.  She was a strong hardworking mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.  Amalia is preceded in by her parents Jose and Jesusa C. Duarte, step mother Isidora S. Duarte, brothers Juan F. Duarte, Benito Machado, and Joe Bravo,  son David Soto, and love of her life Frank Hernandez.  She is survived by her children Gloria (Ray) Duarte Langston, Lydia (Santiago) Castro, Gilbert Soto, Edward (Sandra) Soto, Robert Soto (Carmen Villasana), Frank Hernandez Jr. (Jessica Kerlin  ), sisters Elvira (Miguel) Alvarado , Mary Alice (Manuel) Silva, Eva (Richard) Sanders, Margie (Steve) Belcher, 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.  She enjoyed the little joys in life her coffee with best friend Ruthie with marble or chocolate cakes, her plants, and her dog Cece.  Amalia will forever be remembered as a faithful woman of god with an undeniable presence.  She was a woman filled with love, wisdom, and strength that shaped generations.
