Amelia S. Benitez was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the blessed age of 93. She was born May 12, 1930 in Runge, TX to Antonio and Josefina Salazar. She is reunited in heaven with her parents; husband Reynaldo Benitez; siblings Margarita S. Luna (Jesus), Antonio Salazar Jr. (Leonor), Ignacio Salazar (Dolores), Juanita (Jay) Rodriguez. She will be deeply missed by her step children Mary Jane Benitez, John Medellin (Rose); siblings, Alice Sanchez (Johnny), Isidoro (Joe) Salazar (Mary), Susie Garcia (Mario), Richard Salazar (Alma), Raymond Salazar (Sulema); numerous nieces, nephews; her pet Chiquita; and extended family members and friends. Heaven has gained our most beloved blessing. Until we meet again.
