Amelia Sanchez (Huizar) Perez, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, with her family by her side in San Antonio, TX. She was born June 2, 1940, in Junction, TX to Ignacio and Maclovia Sanchez. She is survived by 5 children; daughter and her spouse, Elizabeth (Michael) Hernandez; sons and their spouses, Ernest (Rosemary) Huzar, Daniel (Cathi) Huizar, Joe (Lois) Huizar, Ruben (Roslyn) Huizar; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by four sisters: Carolina Martinez, Ofelia Martinez, Maria Sarabia, and Susie Ruegen. Amelia was proceeded in death by one beloved grandson Jeffrey Hernandez. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She never met a stranger and always had a smile ready for everyone. She loved dancing and being surrounded by flowers. If you were in her presence, you couldn't help to admire her happiness, laughter and the sparkle in her eyes. She always held family and friends close to her heart. She will be dearly missed by all.
