It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amelia T. Lara on the morning of June 24, 2026. Though we grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing she went peacefully and has been reunited with her beloved husband, Jesus A. Lara, whom she loved dearly.

Amelia lived a life defined by love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. This was best presented through her incredible home cooking, and green thumb when tending to her garden. Only from the passion of setting a foundation & growing from the root - do we get to truly cherish the beauty of the flowers in bloom. These are the principles she instilled in the family as we will carry on these traditions she’s set.

With that, every meal would bring family and friends together. Her strength, kindness, and generous spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Above all, Amelia cherished her family. She is lovingly survived by her four sisters, her two daughters, a son in-law, four lovely grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews, who will forever carry her love, wisdom, and strength in their hearts. While she will be deeply missed, her love remains a lasting gift to all who knew her. May she rest peacefully, forever reunited with Jesus A. Lara and forever remembered with love.
