Amparo (Polly) Escobedo Vela, devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend went to be with our lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

She was born on November 24, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. She lived an enjoyable and spirited life and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Ruben Rodriguez; mother Isabel Escobedo; sisters Angelina E. Gonzalez, Sandra Flores; brother Joe Flores; children Yvonne (Bonnie) Escobedo Vela, Selena Magee Vela, Arthur Andrew Vela; grandchildren Jenna Renee Vela, Gianna Nadine Gutierrez; great grandchildren Amethyst December Hernandez, Emmaline Rose Hernandez; stepdaughter Reanna Rodriguez Martinez; step grandchildren: Heaven Krystell Medina, Angel Martinez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 18 ^th , 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. On Saturday, December 19 ^th , 2020 a funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 4603 N Manitou Rd.
