Anastacio O. Alonso passed away on January 25, 2024. Anastacio better known as Alonso was born on April 15, 1940, in San Luis, Potosi to Maria Luisa Ojeda Gutierrez and Evaristo Alonso Ramirez. Alonso grew up in Rosita, Coahuila and moved to San Antonio, Texas where he lived for over 50 years. Alonso is survived by his daughters Alison Rodriguez, Michelle Matsumoto, son-in laws Raymond Rodriguez, Kevin Matsumoto, Brother Francisco Javier Alonso and wife Carmella, grandchildren Christopher, Eric, Madeline, Cassara, Raymond, Tiffany, Elisa, Vanessa, Daniella, Gregory, multiple Great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Alonso is predeceased by his parents, Maria Luisa and Evaristo, brother Rito Alonso and daughter Mary Louise Menchaca (Lou Lou). Alonso held many titles in his life, from wrestler, composer and entrepreneur, but his favorite role was being a grandfather and great grandfather. He loved spending time with all his grandchildren. He was always there for them and ready to spoil them in ways only a grandparent can do. Alonso, Apa, Daddy, Popo and Grandpa will be greatly missed and remembered for his big, beautiful smile and the love he shared for his daughters and grandchildren. Alonso's family will host a funeral service on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. The Life Celebration Service will be at Castillo Funeral Home in San Antonio.
