Anastacio Montes DeOca, age 91, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2023, at V.A. Hospital in San Antonio. He was born on April 27, 1931, in Floresville, Texas.

Anastacio is survived by his children, Mary Jane (Jesus), Diana, Irene (Mike), Johnny, Anastacio Jr, Rosendo, 27 Grandchildren, 52 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren, and by his siblings Teresa (Andres) and Rosendo (Norma Linda).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Jesusa Montes DeOca, daughter Lisa (Gilbert), and siblings Jesus, Gregorio, Raymond, and Juan.

Anastacio (Tacho) served in the Army as a young man. He built a life in San Antonio at his garage and ranch. He was a mechanic, truck driver, and entrepreneur. He loved spending time with his family and friends on his front porch and taking visitors to his ranch. He was a loving father and an outstanding grandfather. His humor and smile will forever be missed.
