Anastacio Y Hernandez known to loved ones as "Tacho" went to be with the Lord on Sunday May 26th, 2024, in his hometown of San Antonio, TX. Born June 20th, 1938, he was the son of the late Anastacio Hernandez Sr & Maria Hernandez. Brother to Vicente, Jose, Espirion, Maria & Pedro who have all preceded him in death.

Survived by his sister Angelita Arce. Tacho leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his children: Antonio (Maria) Hernandez, Beatrice (Nino) Quinones, Darlene (Mike) Miller, Erik (Esme) Hernandez, Tracy (Manuel) Contreras, Mark (Nichole) Barajas, Jeanette (Albert) Ramirez, along with 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Tacho retired as a custodian from Edgewood ISD in the west side of San Antonio. He spent much of his career servicing Memorial High School & his last few years @ Truman Middle School. Tacho enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching football, scratching lotto tickets, and testing his luck at the slot machines whenever his family took him out to the casinos. He was loving, kind, & respectful to everyone he met. Tacho will be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather & friend. His stories, wisdom and the warmth of his company will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Services to remember and honor Anastacio will be held @ Castillo Funeral home on Thursday June 6th & June 7th, 2024.
