Obituary

Andre John Votion Sr., affectionately "Andy," entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the age of 63. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on March 26, 1958, to Thomas and Amelia Votion.   After High School, Andy served in the United States Marine Corps.  He had a passion for cooking, all genre's of music and making others laugh. Andy's biggest pride and joy was his family, the light of his life were his two granddaughters.
Andy is preceded in death by his father and by his brother Thomas Frank Votion Jr. and son in law Geno Dominguez.  He is survived by his children Antoinette Marie Dominguez, Veronica Andree Cary, and Andre John Votion Jr.  granddaughters Maricella Louise Cary and Alyssa Taylor-Marie Cary, brothers Rene D. Votion (Helen), Alfred D. Votion (Mary), Mark A. Votion (Margie), Jason D. Votion (Angela), sister Marisa V. Ramirez (Victor) and numerous nieces and nephews.  A visitation for Andy is planned for Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 10 am to 12 pm. The visitation will be at Castillo Funeral Home on 520 N. General McMullen Dr.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Wounded Warriors Project.
