Angel Medrano, also known as "Panchito", was born on October, 10, 1931 in Cuero, Texas. He was reunited with his wife of 61 years, Margaret Medrano on March 29, 2021, at the age of 89. He is preceded in death by his parents Antonio & Juanita Carrisalez; siblings, Ramona, Larry, Janie, Pauline, Elias, Tomas, Victor, Tony and Manuel. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his children, Susie Herrera (Gilbert), Diane Bernal (Pedro Asevedo) and Angel Medrano, Jr. (Irma); grandchildren, Melissa (Jesus), Mercedes (Vince), Noe Angel and Isaiah; great-grandchildren, Joshua and J. Anthony; siblings, Lena Martinez and Albert Carrisalez as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was a loving and dedicated husband, daddy, grandpa, brother, uncle, suegro, padrino, compadre, neighbor and friend. He was an avid gardener, who never tired working outside in his yard, or anyone else's yard for that matter, managing his plants and flowers, especially his bluebonnets. He also enjoyed making and giving away his famous salsa.

The family would like to offer their special thanks to Dr. Bruce Brockway and the staff at the Kidney Treatment Center - West for their loving care and affection for the past 10 years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 3:30p.m. until 7:30p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6p.m. at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. A funeral procession will depart on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 9:30am for a 10:00am Mass at St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
