Angelita Munoz Hinojosa was called to Heaven by her Heavenly Father on September 19, 2021 at the age of 101. Angelita was born June 20, 1920 in Laredo, Texas to Juan Munoz and Josefina Gonzalez. Angelita and her siblings – Alicia, Juanita, Domingo, and Alberto - were raised in San Antonio, Texas by her mother and stepfather, Guadalupe Escamilla. Angelita was surrounded by her family – son, Edward, daughter-in-law, Olivia, and granddaughter, Adrie Anna – during her final moments. Angelita was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, infant son, Raul Jr., and husband, Raul (Roy). She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Olivia Hinojosa, granddaughter, Adrie Anna Hinojosa, and a multitude of goddaughters, godsons, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors as well as her second "family", Sarah Roberts French Home residents and staff.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home (520 N. General McMullen, San Antonio, Texas 78228) Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 5PM-8PM. Angelita will be laid to rest Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at San Fernando Cemetery #2. The funeral procession will depart Castillo Mission Funeral Home at 9:30AM Wednesday, October 6, 2021.
