Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Angelita Sanchez, at the age of 97, on February 11, 2025. Her last breath here on earth was also her first breath in heaven.

Angelita was surrounded by her loving family when she departed to be with our Lord and Savior. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on September 19, 1927, she married her amazing husband, Adolph Zamudio Sanchez, in her hometown. As a devoted military wife, Angelita journeyed throughout the country and abroad, proudly serving her family and country alongside Adolph for 25 years.

Angelita and Adolph retired in San Antonio, Texas, where they raised their family and built their lives. They spent their last 22 years together in El Paso, Texas, along with their daughter Linda. Angelita was a passionate mother and caregiver who dedicated her life to unselfishly ensuring that those she loved were taken care of and unconditionally loved.

As a devoted Catholic Christian, Angelita spent her life serving and worshipping our Father in heaven. She passed along her love for the Lord to her family, ensuring they also loved and served Him. Besides her unconditional love, this was her greatest gift to her children and husband.

Angelita and Adolph cherished dancing and attending events with their family and friends. They were long-time members of the Miramar Social Club and enjoyed live band events. Angelita was also an amazing cook and baker, known for her delicious food and beautifully crafted cakes for weddings, Quinceañeras, and parties.

Angelita is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Adolph, her sons Adolph Augustine and John Lawrence, her parents Gregorio A. Garcia and Marguerita Lozano, as well as several siblings, including her brother Richard Garcia.
