Mrs. Angelita M. Zuniga gained her angel wings on January 9, 2024, at the age of 84 years old. She was born the eldest of six children to Alfonso G. and Belen S. Martinez on August 22, 1939, in the township of Danby, Michigan.

She is preceded in death by her husband Alejandro J. Zuniga Sr., her son Alejandro J. Zuniga Jr., her parents Alfonso G. and Belen S. Martinez, her siblings Rosa, Armando, and Alfonso S. Martinez.

She is survived by her daughter Maria Zuniga-Trevino (Amy), her son Hector Zuniga (Veronica), grandson Matthew Olivarez, granddaughters Emily M. Aguillon (Ismael) and Viviana Rose Zuniga, her two great grandchildren: Eleazar Alejandro Aguillon and Elianna Cruz Villarreal along with other numerous family and friends.

Angelita met Alejandro, her future husband, on a blind date. They were married on July 3, 1964, for 41 years. She was a stay-at-home mom and dedicated her life to raising her children. Angelita loved making memories while spending time with family, enjoyed watching novelas, shopping, and going to the casino.

We thank the staff at the DaVita West clinic for all the love and support given to her throughout the years. We knew she was in great hands.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The visitation/viewing is on January 23, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm with the recital of the rosary at 6pm.
