Anita Salinas Acosta (70) peacefully passed on Sunday June 4th, 2023.

Born February 20th, 1953, to Felicita and Ruperto Salinas, she lived her youth in Poth, TX with her 5 siblings, Petra, Lucia, Ruperto, Teresa, and Andrea. At an early age, Anita picked crops with her family and traveled up north as migrant farm workers.

She met the love of her life and married, Joe Angel Acosta and together for 39 years had two children Felicia and Joe, and grandchildren: Inez, Irisa, Lorenzo, and Isaiah.

Anita's greatest pleasures were dinners with family, Kickapoo trips with her sisters, evening calls with her son, her sweet dogs: Chiquita, Chloe, Lady, and Billy, puzzles, sewing, western movies, and word searches. Anita was a giving, caring and selfless soul for the people she loved, but also known to be "stubborn" on occasion.

Visitation at Castillo Funeral Home Thursday June 22,2023, 4-8pm and a Rosary at 6pm. On Friday, June 23, 2023, a funeral mass at St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church 11am with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
