Anita Z. Vasquez, beloved wife of the late Guadalupe Vasquez, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2020. Anita was born in San Antonio, Texas to Augustine & Anita Zulaica on April 18, 1936.

She was preceded in death by her precious son, Phil Vasquez.

Mrs. Vasquez is survived by her cherished daughters, Cecelia, Pauline, Ernestina, Maria and Anita and her sons John and Joe. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren. She is remembered by her nieces and nephews as well as her cousins and countless friends.

A special thanks to Baptist Hospital of San Antonio & Encompass Home Health for the care given to Anita.

All whom loved her dearly will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace (when pertinent) and undying love and caring for them. She was truly a living saint.

As her daughter Cecelia said, "My Mom never met a stranger."

Please join us celebrating her life Tuesday, June 30, 2020 between 12 p.m. — 4 p.m. at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. Rosary at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at San Juan de los Lagos Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment at San Fernando Cemetery II. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
