Antonio Aguilar at the age of 75 years old he went home with our Lord on Friday, Jul 24, 2026 while hospitalized at University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Antonio was born in San Antonio, Tx Mar 5, 1951, Graduated from Pearsall High School in 1969. After graduation, He enlisted in the US Army 1st Cavalry Division and spoke to his commander about volunteering to go to Vietnam, however, he was rerouted to Frankfurt, Germany. There, he talked to his commander again, about his desire to volunteer to go to Vietnam to defend our freedom. His commander honored his request.

Antonio served 1 Yr Tour in the Republic of Vietnam. Prior to going to the military, he met his future lovely wife Irene at his going away party. Once he returned, he dated & married Irene on 8 Aug 1976. They were approx. 15 days shy of completing their 50th Golden Anniversary on the date of his passing.

Antonio took his family to Israel for 3 weeks & the Bible came to life for him & his family. After the family’s visit to Israel, he was inspired to share & teach the Gospel to Jr. & High School adolescents where Matthew attended. Plus taught bible study in the Church “Cristo es El Camino”. His greatest joy was teaching the Bible to both our sons, Tony Jr. & Matthew. He loved being deeply involved in Biblical insights, being a super role model to our sons in early age thru out their adolescents to adult life.

Though he was a strict Dad, he was also a loving Dad, there’s nothing they would want that he couldn’t get for them. He flourished them with surprise gifts & rewarded them when they deserved it. Antonio Aguilar’s life was truly fulfilled with his family & happy in being involved with our sons with Kelly AFB Family Support Center & the 433d Airlift wing family day event, holiday events on & off base.

Antonio tremendously loved going out to the country where our oldest son Tony Jr. lives. Plus he has plenty of livestock to keep him busy & very active in lifting 2 tons of round Bailes of hay with the tractor.

Antonio will be truly missed by his family friends & acquaintances.
