Obituary

Antonio Salvador Garcia, also known as, Tony, Grandpa, and Uncle Joe, was called Home to be with the Lord on December 9 th , 2021 at the age of 73. After a long hard battle with health issues, he passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his wife and family.

Antonio was born in San Antonio, TX on January 11, 1948 to Inocencia and Salvador Garcia.  He was the eldest of 5 brothers and 5 sisters. He began working at a very young age to help support his family. He graduated from Fox Tech High School and received a certification in welding. At the age of 17, he would meet the love of his life, Eva Garcia, and would later marry on July 15, 1967 and have 3 daughters. For 54 years of marriage, Eva and Antonio remained loyal to each and were inseparable. They enjoyed playing pool, dancing, and hanging out with friends and family.

Antonio was a loving, selfless, humble, strong hardworking man who always provided for his family. He worked all his life until he could no longer work anymore. He taught his children and grandchildren nothing in this life is given, and with hard work everything you want can be accomplished. He truly loved his family and would say they were all his "favorite." Although he did not like spending money on himself, he would always help those in need and would give the best advice. He treasured his tools that he purchased throughout his life; and, enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling, listening to music, and repairing things. He had the best mustache.

Antonio was a devout Catholic who attended St. Henry's Catholic Church. He always put the Lord first and raised his daughters in the faith. He wanted to be remembered as a kind and good person so he lived his life that way, as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. You could always count on him to be there for you when you needed him. We will continue to thank GOD every day for bringing this wonderful man into our lives and allowing us to spend the days we had with him. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Antonio Garcia was preceded in death by his father Salvador Garcia, mother Inocencia Garcia, brothers Valentine and Henry Garcia, and son-in-law Alex Moreno.

His beautiful life and legacy will forever be carried on and cherished in the lives of his wife, Eva Garcia, his 3 daughters: Evelyn Garcia Moreno, Yvonne Garcia, and Cheryl Saucedo, sons-in-law: Noe Anguiano and Sam Saucedo, grandchildren: Chasity Anguiano, Noe Anguiano Jr., Angelika Anguiano, Samuel Saucedo III, Evelyn Anguiano, Neo Anguiano, and Antonio De Los Santos, and numerous brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
