Argelia Briones Martinez passed away on May 24, 2024. She was surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was 82 years old. She was born in Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico on November 6, 1941.

Early in her childhood, Argelia and her family immigrated into the United States to receive better treatment for her Polio. She went on and graduated from Blessed Sacrament Academy, after which she went on to study at San Antonio College. In November of 1967, she married her high school sweetheart, Jose Martinez Jr. One of the proudest moments in her life was when she became a Citizen of the United States. A couple of her accomplishments was receiving a top-secret clearance and working for the United States Government. She later became an Executive Secretary at the University of Texas Health Science Center. She touched the lives of many people around her. We will always treasure the beautiful memories that she created. She will be missed tremendously.

Argelia is preceded in death by her mother, Maria, her father Felix and her brother Armando.

Argelia is loved and will be missed by her son, Francisco, her husband Jose and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
