Leonor Armandina Salazar was called home by the lord on October 13, 2021, at the age of 81. She was born in Laredo, Texas, on March 22, 1940. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Francisco Salazar; her father, Ernesto Garcia; her mother, Leonor Garcia, brother's Ernesto Garcia Jr., Lupe Garcia, Martin Garcia and sister Licha Moreno.

Armandina is survived by her 8 wonderful children Gilbert Salazar(Maria), Terry Esquivel(Robert), Irene Portis(Robert), Frank Salazar(Joann), Olivia Rosas(Joe), Ruben Salazar(Patricia), Rebecca Esquivel(Ronnie) and Alex Salazar. Her grandchildren Gilbert Salazar, Hector Salazar, Angel Vina, Jorene Vina, Jose Vina, Frankie Salazar, Miranda Salazar, Melissa Salazar, Ashley Ortega, Joe Salazar Jr., Stephanie Cabido, Amber Salazar, Julie Esquivel, Ronica Esquivel, Rebecca Esquivel and Alex Salazar. Armandina was also blessed with many great-grandchildren.

Armandina was an amazing wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother, and sweet great grandmother. She dedicated her life to raising her whole family. She enjoyed playing crossword puzzles while eating sunflower seeds and watching her soap opera's, novelas, westerns shows, and lifetime movies. Armandina loved making homemade tamales with her daughters.

Heaven has gained our most beloved, beautiful blessing. We are thankful for the life and love she once shared with us. The lord has given Armandina her wings to fly high. Our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother will be forever missed and will forever live in our hearts.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Castillo Mission Funeral Home from 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m.
The funeral procession will depart from Castillo Mission Funeral Home Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 9:15 a.m.
Armandina will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston cemetery for service at 10:00 a.m.
