Armando P. Gamez, 62, husband to Maria G. Gamez, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on November 8, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas, a son of the late Venancio G. Gamez Sr and Jesusa Maria Gamez-Ramos.
In addition to his parents, Venancio G. Gamez Sr and Jesusa Maria Gamez-Ramos, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Guadalupe G. Chavez and a brother, Venancio Gamez Jr.
Family members include his wife, Maria G. Gamez, children, Veronica G. De La Garza (Rick), Armando Gamez Jr. (Jennifer), Richard Gamez, and Jennifer Marie Carranza (Chris); grandchildren, Mia De La Garza, Richard De La Garza III, Armando Gamez III, Aaron A. Gamez, Andrea F. Gamez, Essiah A Carranza, and Elliyanna Carranza; brothers, Jose Gamez (Maria), Ector Gamez (Sylvia), Emiterio Gamez (Beatrice), Alfredo Gamez (Ida), Juan Gamez, and Jesse Gamez (Gloria); sisters, Teresa Arroyo (Dennis) and Norma Mendiola (Roger); in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm for visitation. A rosary service will be conducted at 6:00 pm during the visitation.
