With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Armando F Hernandez , a beloved father, grandfather, Husband, family man, and friend whose presence brought comfort, strength, and warmth to so many lives.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Armando was a man defined by honor, compassion, and unwavering love for the people around him. As a dedicated police officer, he served his community with courage, integrity, and selflessness, always striving to protect and care for others. Beyond the badge was an extraordinary man whose heart was just as strong as his character.
Armando was smart, outgoing, caring, heartfelt, and deeply loving. He had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and understood. An incredible listener and empathetic soul, he offered guidance, comfort, and kindness without hesitation. His strength was not only in his resilience, but in the gentleness and compassion he showed to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He was a truly beautiful person inside and out — someone who loved life, cherished his family deeply, and found joy in bringing smiles to others. He loved the outdoors, good food, cooking for the people he cared about, and sharing laughter and stories with family and friends. He also had a passion for collecting , something that reflected both his personality and the joy he found in life’s meaningful details.
Above all, Armando was devoted to his family. Being a father and grandfather were among his greatest joys, and the love he had for his wife, children and granddaughter was immeasurable. He created a home filled with love, humor, wisdom, and unforgettable memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is survived by his oldest son, Armando Alexander Hernandez, His youngest son Zian Kristopher Hernandez, his daughter-in-law, Samantha Martinez ; and his beloved granddaughter, Amiri Noelle Hernandez. Though their loss is immeasurable, so too is the love and legacy he leaves behind.
Armando will be remembered always for his strength, his service, his kindness, and the immense love he gave so freely. His memory will continue to live on through every story shared, every lesson remembered, and every life he touched.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16
