Armando V. Sifuentes passed into the arms of our Lord on May 19th, 2023 at the blessed age of 73. Armando was born to Tony and Rose (Valdemar) Sifuentes on August 4th, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas. They preceded him in death along with numerous other family members. "Mando" as he was affectionately known, graduated from South San Antonio High School in 1968. He enjoyed spending time with his family, notably bowling with his grandchildren, fishing, playing dominos and watching the Cowboys. Mando is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Petra Pena Sifuentes; Children Armando Sifuentes, Jr. (Gisela), Stephanie Sifuentes (Robert), Nicole Sifuentes, Adrian Sifuentes (Alicia), Nathan Pena (Kym), Lucy Washington (David), and Mark Pena (Becky); Grandchildren John Stotko, Iliana Sifuentes, Kayla Washington, Anissa Rivera, Ethan Pena, Richard Garcia III, Marco Sifuentes, Jonathan Pena, Samantha Lara, Vanessa Lara, Alessandra Sifuentes, Cody Washington, Rodrigo Sifuentes, Ellie Tip and Evie Pena; Siblings Cecilia S. Trinidad (Jesus), Linda S. Sanchez, and Gilda S. Shaw; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 1st, 2023 at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart in procession from the funeral home at 9:15am for a 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church (535 New Laredo Hwy). Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
