Arnold P. Gonzales, born December 30, 1951, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the age of 68. He retired from the Army after 26 years of service and had worked as a Detention Officer for the Bexar County Sheriff Department. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Emma Gonzales; and son, Arnold Gonzales Jr. Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Guadalupe F. Gonzales; children, James Arnold Gonzales and wife, Salina, and Michele Pilar Villarreal and husband, Christopher; siblings, Linda Perez, Santos Gonzales, and Anna Gonzales; grandchildren, Mary, Olivia, Marley, Layla, Dylan, Penelope, Madison, Lillian, Jillian, Arnold K. and Jeanny; great grandchildren, Lilly and Madison; and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 8, from 3 to 7:30pm with a rosary being recited at 6pm. Funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Wednesday, December 9, at 8am for a 9am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Monica Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
