Our beloved brother Arturo entered eternal rest Wednesday morning ,  June 17th, 2020, at age 64 after an extended illness.  He is survived by his brothers, Louis, Jesus, Samuel and Rojelio and sisters Pauline and Dora.  Also survived by numerous nieces  and nephews and great nieces and nephews that he loved spending time with and loved dearly.  Arturo proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Hector and extensively traveled the Pacific NW. On his honorable discharge  from the Navy Arturo worked  at Kelly AFB and retired  after 26 years of dedicated federal civil service.  Arturo loved having barbecues with family and friends.  He enjoyed numerous  outdoor activities such as concerts, festivals and cook-off events.  Arturo  enjoyed his  weekend getaways to the Coast for rest and relaxation.  In his younger years he enjoyed traveling with his Corvette Club and fixing and building hot rods.  He took pleasure in visiting his local VFW Posts and spending time with fellow Servicemen and Veterans.  Arturo loved to garden and  worked  at maintaining his beautiful yard.  He  was a loving, caring and compassionate person who put other people's needs before his and will be very much missed by all who knew him and shared time with him.  The family would like to  thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy and condolences.  The family would like to ask  that in lieu of flowers that a donation  be made to the Wounded Warrior Project organization.
