Augustina R. Contreras, 92, passed away on June 17, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on May 28, 1932, in Kennedy, Texas, a daughter of the late Antonia Escobar and Margarito Rodriguez.

Augustina was an incredible lady whom accomplished much during her lifetime. She will be remembered by many and loved eternally.

In addition to her parents Antonia Escobar and Margarito Rodriguez, she is also preceded in death by 4 sons, Cruz Contreras, Juan Contreras, Alfredo Contreras Jr. and Antonio Contreras.

Family members include 3 children, Sylvia Deleon, Mary Angela Garza and George Contreras; approximately 18 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 10 great great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a rosary service.

A graveside service will be conducted at Chapel Hill Memorial Park on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 12:00 pm.
