Augustine Vasquez Torres (Gus) passed away March 10, 2023, at home. He was born November 27, 1949, in San Antonio to parents Augustine and Eva Torres.

He is preceded in death by his Father-Augustine, Mother-Eva, Daughter-April, and Sons-Auggie and Anthony, and Brothers-Abel and Ruben. Isabel J. Torres (mother of his children).

He is survived by Daughters-Eva Landa and Melissa Garcia, Blessed with many Grand-Children and Great-grandchildren and also Brother-Adam, Sister-Gloria and Brother-in-law David DeViney, and many Cousins and Friends!

Gus proudly served in the U.S. Army in 1971 and was a proud Disabled Veteran until his passing. He loved art, helping the homeless, volunteering at Veterans events. He was a great Billiards player and won many pool tournaments. He and his family-owned Torres Bar and Billiards on Pearsall Road. He was also proud of being a Hillsider.

Services will be Wednesday March 22, 2023. Visitation 4pm - 8 pm. Chapel service at 6 pm. We will meet at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10 am for a Committal Service at 10:15 am under shelter #2.
