Aurora C. De Hoyos
May 10, 1937  –  April 11, 2026


Aurora C. De Hoyos, 88 years old, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 10, 1937 in Nixon, Texas to Jesus Cisneros and Beatrice G. Cisneros, she lived a life full of grace, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

"Lolita" grew up in Nixon, but when she was 21 years old, she moved to San Antonio, where she met the love of her life, Alfredo De Hoyos Gonzalez. They soon were united in marriage on March 16, 1959. Together they built a beautiful life and family that became her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

Those who knew her will forever cherish her loving and compassionate spirit. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone around her feel loved, valued, and deeply cared for. Her love was contagious, her hugs were a haven, and her presence brought a warmth and joy that filled every room she entered.

Preceded in Death
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jesus Cisneros and Beatrice G. Cisneros; her dear brother, Frank Cisneros; and her cherished son, Joe E. Cisneros, her beloved grandchild Charles Christopher Cisneros, and her loving great-grandchild Noah Isaiah Treviño.

Survived By
She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Alfredo De Hoyos Gonzalez; their children: Yolanda D. Gonzalez ( Ismael C. Gonzalez Jr.), Alfredo C. De Hoyos Jr. (Delia Garza), Jesus C. De Hoyos (Regina Agee-De Hoyos), Aurelia D. Marotta (Louis A. Marotta), Orlando C. De Hoyos (Andrea Z. De Hoyos), Javier C. De Hoyos (David Olivares Segovia), and Esmeralda D. Treviño; 28 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren each of whom she cherished with her whole heart.

Services
Visitation: Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 4pm - 8pm (Rosary 6:30pm) at Castillo Funeral Home G1, 520 N. General McMullen Dr, San Antonio, TX  78228

Funeral Service: Friday, April 24th, 2026 at 10am at St. Joseph South San Catholic Church, 535 New Laredo Hwy, San Antonio, TX  78211

Interment: San Fernando Cemetery #3, 1735 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX  78226
