Barbara Hogeda, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2024, at her home in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on July 30, 1966, in San Angelo, Texas, a daughter of Rebecca Maria (Trevino) Hogeda and the late Abraham Hogeda.

Barbara was the baby of the family and was deeply loved by everyone. She lived with her mother her entire life. Her older sisters and brother were very protective of her throughout their/her life. She loved to cook with her family and was a great dancer. She was a big Michael Jackson fan and would dance and sing his music in her room.

In addition to her father, Abraham Hogeda, she is also preceded in death by a sister, Maria Elena Pena; a brother, John Anthony Hogeda; and a nephew, Michael Zermeno and Adam Hogeda.

Family members include two sisters, Debbie Zermeno and Elizabeth A. Hogeda-Romo; brother-in-law, Alejandro Pena; nephews, Jonathon Pena and Anthony Zermeno (Dominique Zermeno); nieces, Sara Gonzalez (Jordan Montez) and Alexandria Mari' Romo-Coffee (Clint Coffee); great nieces, Olivia Villarreal, Ariana Zermeno, Paloma Zermeno, Isadora Zermeño and Luna Mari'Coffee; in addition to numerous extended family members.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a rosary service.

A chapel service will be conducted on Friday, March 15, 2024, in the Castillo Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am. The burial will follow with a graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery II.
