Obituary

Beatrice (Sanchez) Alvarado, age 85, of Mission Viejo, California, passed away on June 28, 2025.
Bea was born on July 29, 1939, in Cotulla, Texas to Olivia and Gregorio Sanchez. She grew up in Cotulla and San Antonio before moving to California. She married Carlos Alvarado in 1955 and together they built a life in San Diego and then Orange County, California. They had three children: Rose, Carlos Jr, and Janie.
Bea worked tirelessly for years as she and her husband raised a family while he was in the Navy and later in life, devoted their time to their faith, becoming volunteers to the Orange County Jails, where later in years Bea was ordained as a chaplain to the Orange County Jails, sharing the word of God on missions and in the jails.
Bea is survived by her children – Rose Monsanto and Janie Alvarado; her grandchildren – Jacob Alvarado, Gregory Alvarado, Jennifer Monsanto, and Lauren Monsanto; and 10 beloved great-grandchildren, and her siblings - Lucia Rodriguez, Alfred Sanchez, Velma Ortega, Rosalinda Sanchez and Carlos Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, son, and 6 of 11 siblings.
