Beatrice V. Lara, 93, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family, on September 10, 2025. She is survived by her sisters, Paula Ramos and Esther Flores, and was preceded in death by her parents, Alejandra P. Valdez and Mariano Valdez, and brother, Robert Valdez.

Beatrice will be greatly missed by her children, Elias (Nora) Ybarra, Estella Vecera, Enriqueta (Rick) Romero, Rogelio Ybarra, Zita Beatrice Carter, and Laura (Michael) Pesole. Followed by 14 beautiful grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 3 great­ great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Beatrice was born in San Antonio, TX, on February 17, 1932. She was an amazing, loving, dedicated, and caring mother and father to all her 6 children. Her passions included cooking, sewing, music, dancing, mariachis, and singing Las Mananitas for everyone's birthday. Our beloved mother, our greatest guardian angel. You will be greatly missed and forever treasured. We will live our lives to the fullest just like you showed us.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025, and a rosary is at 6:00 p.m. at Castillo Funeral Home Chapel G1.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Our Lady of Good Counsel. Interment will follow in the San Fernando Cemetery Ill.
