Obituary

Beatrice Q. Trejo, age 92, was called home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2025, surrounded by the comfort of her home and the love she so freely gave throughout her life. She was born on April 5, 1933, in San Antonio, Texas, and lived a life rooted in faith, service, and family.

Beatrice was the beloved wife of Santos P. Trejo Jr., with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion. She was a proud and loving mother to Santos Trejo III, Patricia Mata, Deborah Barela (Jesse Barela), and Gabriel Trejo.

She was blessed with a large and cherished family that brought her endless joy. Her grandchildren include Stephanie, Selina, Sean, Eric, Matthew, Jessica, Victoria, Gabrielle, and Sky Taylor. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren Samantha, Secilia, Serena, Summer, Sevin, Abrianna, Eric, Sabrina, Sabien, Beckett, Mila, Everett, Robby, Luna, Jesse Ray, and her great-great-grandchildren Braidyn and Jamison, all of whom she loved.

Beatrice leaves behind her loving sister Alice Molina and is preceded in death by her husband Santos, her parents Francisco and Francisca, and her beloved siblings Isabel, Janie, Arturo, and Eulalio, whom she now rejoins in eternal peace.

For 30 years, Beatrice worked faithfully as a bookkeeper at La Feria Department Store, where she was known for her dedication, integrity, and warm spirit. Her faith was central to her life, and she was deeply involved in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, serving proudly as a member of the Altar Society and often helped the Guadalupanas.

She had a love for music and dancing.  She brought people together in joyful celebrations with her annual Our Lady of Good Counsel Christmas Dance—an event filled with laughter, music, and fellowship that remains a cherished memory for many.

Beatrice will always be remembered for her radiant smile, her kind and generous heart, contagious smile, and her willingness to help anyone in need. She loved deeply, gave freely, and lived humbly, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that will continue through generations.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing she is now resting in God's eternal embrace, reunited with loved ones, and watching over her family with the same love she gave so selflessly on earth.
